I just received this coin, and I must say, it's very impressive. It's nearly identical to the "Type 2" stamper coins. It's identical in diameter, and at 3/5 mm thick, it's about 1 mm thicker than the originals, giving it a nice weight. The nickel (?) plating is a near mirror-finish. I very much appreciate that there is no hole for a key chain, making it look more like a real silver piece of eight. The back is a simple design, as can be seen, but it pays tribute to the original coins by precisely copying the skull and crossbones image from the original, only much larger. Not many cons--there are raised areas to the right of the "P" in the top left corner and on either side of the 8, which on the original are not raised areas, but just places where the "silver tarnish" has worn away. Definitely not a deal breaker, but not quite like the original. That said, the raised areas do help it to look original. Overall, for $12 bucks, this coin simply can't be beat.
I love the detail on this coin. It’s definitely better than the original.
Very nice coins. I’m glad we got them.
Great quality and super cool!
